Week 7

Last week it was pretty interesting!!! Organised a finale party for the teen reading programme and it was a big success!!!
At present I cannot get into Bebo or facebook since the web sites are blocked from my terminal , I will have another go on these sites from home .
Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends and family.

I do have an facebook account and I find it really helpful to keep in touch with all my friends and family. Its a great way to know whats happening in their lives.
I love to look at all their photographys and all though they are far away you get to be a part of their lives.
Bebo is another social media network where friends share their lives and explore great entertainment.

WEEK 6

This is pretty interesting !! It is a really smart way to organise all your favourite photographs and create quick links to it.. Hmm... I think I need to load some photographs to experiment with Tags and Bookmarks.

Week 5

So,What is a Wiki????
I think Wiki is is great way to communicate with others. You get to see their point of views whether they agree or disagree.
Wiki Means QUICK in Hawaiian ( I learnt something new!)
Wiki allows a group of people to collectively design a website. Anyone can add to or edit content.
It does have its pros and cons though:

Pros:
Easy to use
Web-based
Simple syntax
Anyone can make changes
Free and open source options
Flexible and extensible

Cons:
Disorganized
Too open
Not enough control
Vandalism and spam

I did like the book lovers Wikis: Its a graet way for people to share their love of reading .

Also, The SJCPL Subject Guides is a great way to learn about local information and educational, cultural and community building resources.

Wiki.A library success : This wiki is wonderful to share ideas and information for all types of librarians. Librarians from all over the world, can share all their innovative ideas that other librarians are not aware of.
